McDonald’s brings the football fever to Filipinos with first-ever Fry Box redesign

Press Release

For the first time ever, McDonald's is changing the design of its iconic World Famous Fries packaging, for a limited time only, to bring the spirit of the FIFA World Cup to its customers around the world.

In the Philippines, McDonald's brings the love for this sport closer to Filipinos with the football-inspired designs that treat customers and football fans with an exclusive collection of street art from twelve artists around the world. The designs will be featured on the medium and large fry boxes in the majority of McDonald's stores around the world throughout the duration of the highly anticipated World Cup tournament.

"McDonald's has partnered with the FIFA World Cup for several years, establishing the connection between two things that the world can't get enough of—football and French fries. Just as Filipinos have embraced McDonald's World Famous Fries, we hope for them to discover and enjoy the excitement in football that the World Cup brings," said McDonald's Philippines President and CEO, Kenneth Yang.
