SEPTEMBER 24, 2016 - Its our 2nd day for the Bakood Festival, after waking up early in the morning and ate our breakfast at Island Cove, we prepared our gears for a one day coverage. The Bacoor Tourism team transported us in the hearts of Bacoor City to witness, feel and absorb the colorful sights and sound of the annual Bakood Festival.

We were told that the festival grandstand near the Bacoor church will serve as the judging area for the marching band street parade.

you can read my part 1 blog post here at http://azraelsmerryland.blogspot.com/2016/10/bakood-festival-2016-part-1-meet.html

It was hard to travel going to the venue, the roads are already closed and the streets are occupied by the crowd of Bacoor town folks and assembly and parade of 50+ marching bands that came from the different provinces of the Philippines.

We're so glad that the security persons ushered our van to reach the grand stand area.

On photo, our Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla with the international judges and VIP from PASAMBAP and also President Duterte's Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco

Its my first time to watch the start of the main marching band parade. Wow! the intro and start of the street parade is very explosive! its very alive and lots of energy.

This band plays the song "Shut up and dance with me", in horns and beats.
The dancing majorette also gave some colors, the entire band members are dancing while playing the tunes.

vlcsnap-2016-09-29-13h04m30s243

Then we saw some float parading infront of the grand stand.
These are float props that will be used for the drum battle competition.

vlcsnap-2016-09-29-13h04m35s747

Another props.
Its not part of the street dance, but this will be used for the drum battle contest.
Marching band will have their street dance routine shown here a the grandstand and then at the evening, they will use these props for their drum battle contest entry, that's marching band routine plus drama skit.

This is a photo gallery of our beautiful majorettes, flag bearer or color guards.
The color guards carries the banner and flags that represent where they came from.
the majorettes, as always are the loveliest front of the entire corps.

The color guard marches infront and they arrive in full force, they will not stop and they will zip through the crowd.

Drum majors or Field commanders are like the orchestra leader.
Always at the front and giving orders what the entire crops should do.

Here's a photo gallery of the Bugle Corps
One of the most important part of the entire marching band. They blast some tunes along with beats of the drum corps.
